アラブストリート。
Arab Street (阿拉伯街) is the name of a road and neighbourhood in Singapore.
There are two explanations behind the name.
The first one is that the area was owned by an Arab merchant, Syed Ali bin Mohamed Al Junied and that it was the site of an Arab kampong, hence the name Arab Street.

カトン地区。ペラナカンとユーラシアンのふるさととして，都市国家シンガポールのなかで，かつての面影を色濃く残す地区です。
Katong is a residential area in the east of Singapore near the seafront.
The area is traditionally associated with the Eurasian and Peranakan community. However, many high-rise apartment blocks now stand alongside the traditional shophouses and Peranakan terrace houses.

リトル・インディア。日曜日で，多くのインド人が集まっていました。
Little India is an ethnic neighbourhood found in Singapore that has Tamil cultural elements and aspects of other cultures.

シンガポールの目抜きエリア，オーチャードロードです。
Orchard Road is a 2.2 kilometre-long street that is the retail and entertainment hub of Singapore. It is a major tourist attraction, in addition to being the most popular shopping enclave in the city-state.

Singapore , practically right on the equator, is highly urbanised with very little primary rainforest remaining, although more land is being created for development through land reclamation.
Singapore is a very diverse and young country. It has many languages, cultures and religions for a country its size.Due to the many different languages and cultures in the country, there is no single set of culturally acceptable behaviours.

シンガポールは，赤道直下に位置するにもかかわらず，殆ど熱帯樹林を残さず，殆どの国土が開拓・埋めたてにより成り立っている超近代国家です。
歴史的には非常に若い国家で，非常に狭い国土にもかかわらず，様々な言語，文化，宗教が混在しており，ローカルエリアを散策していると非常に様々な発見があります。
