まちなみ逍遙

Saint Isaac’s Cathedral or Isaakievskiy Sobor is the largest orthodox basilica and the fourth largest (by the volume under the cupola) cathedral in the world.
It is dedicated to Saint Isaac of Dalmatia, a patron saint of Peter the Great, who had been born on the feast day of that saint.

ピョートル大帝，エカテリーナ２世，パーヴェル１世，アレクサンドル１世が帝政ロシアの威信をかけて，軟弱な地盤の現在地に建造した，ロシア正教会最大のイサク大聖堂です。
その佇まいもさることながら，内部の装飾も荘厳であり，ロシア正教徒でなくとも敬虔な心持ちになります。
