オベロイは，ニューデリーの街の中心から4キロ程離れたところにある，ニューデリー随一の五つ星の最高級ホテルです。
人混みのパワー，雑踏の喧騒に圧倒されるデリーの街ですが，ホテルの中は，全くの別世界です。ハード（設備面）もさながら，ホテルマンの方々の細やかな心配り，特に私が女性一人旅だったからでしょうか，レストランなどでも頻繁に声をかけて下さいました。
