ムラカ（マラッカ）は，ご存知のとおり，東西の交通の要衝であるマラッカ海峡に面する港町です。
その地勢的優位性から，ポルトガル，オランダ，そしてイギリス領植民地時代を経ることになり，1957年8月31日に，ようやく完全独立を果たし，マレーシアに入りました。
この，マレーシア最古の都マラッカは，2008年にはジョージタウンとともに、歴史的な街並みがユネスコの世界遺産に登録されました。

Malacca is the port city, as you know, which commands a central position on the Straits of Malacca.
Geologically, it was a first-rate location,so,Malacca was ceded to Portugal, Holland,and and from 1826 to 1946, Malacca was under the rule of the British.
August 31th,1989, Malacca has become independent from U.K.
This oldest historical city centre has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 7 July 2008.
