まちなみ逍遙

丸亀や児島からのフェリーが到着する港から延々とあるいて30分、そこには、100軒ちかい江戸末期から明治初期に建てられた堂々たる建物が集まった小さな集落が広がっていました。

笠島集落は、戦国時代は塩飽水軍の本拠地として栄え、江戸時代も港町として栄えたそうです。
集落の方々の心遣いが温かかった・・・じ-ん・・・。

It takes about 30 min. from the main port of the Shiwaku-Honjima Island to the village by walk.
Ther’re about 100 imposing, historical houses , Built in the ｆrom the last days of the Edo period to the early Meiji period.

Kasajima-Village flourished　as the base of the Shiwaku marines of the Shiwaku-shoto Island Chain in the Warring States period, then, in the Edo period, it became to be an important port-town.
