Asakusa (in Tokyo) is famous for Kaminarimon and Senso-ji Temple.
They’re very popular sightseeing spots,so,always crowded with tourists.

But on the other hand,there is the off-course betting facility of horse race near them,so,many gamblers congregate in the broad daylight.

いつも観光客でごった返している，雷門と浅草寺界隈 （ ⇒　江戸情緒あふれる雷門 / The Kaminarimon (Thunder Gate), Asakusa… with big lantern ) から一歩離れると，そこには，レトロな遊園地「花やしき」，さらに，「WINS浅草（勝馬投票券場外売り場）」があります。
奥まった飲食街（と呼べるかどうかも怪しい鄙び方ですが），初音小路には，昼間から，テレビモニターで競馬を見ながら一杯ひっかけるギャンブラーがたむろしております。
私が訪れた時は休日でしたので，観光客の往来がありましたが，平日の日中は，立ち入るのが難しい雰囲気だと聞いております。
なかなか味わいのある路地裏でした。
